If you're reading this, I'm already away from that mint-tinted space

Where we shared dinner, songs, trip ideas, and ice cream

I hope I left with hugs

Or selfies on unattended phones

If not, let this letter be the alternative

Though I don't think I can say much

Like how I was in the first meeting

How pretentious

But thank you for letting me unwrap covers

And for always reminding me of the second part of my first name

I've grown out of being annoyed

Because we had banters as appetizers for every meal except breakfast

Then came nights that were long but not long enough

for conversations so earnest

and karaoke galore

I enjoyed both with you

I hope you did, too

And the other things

So many other things

I'm not sure what to miss

Does nostalgia really mean homesickness?

I don't know

But I believe it applies

It may not have been my home

But it was ours for a while

Thank you for smiling with me
