Rosy retrospection, the unfair judgment of the past being better than the present. Basically, it's the bias towards nostalgia and the reason why we have the concept of good old days.

I am not for it.

Don't get me wrong, I love cherishing memories. However, I want to be more grateful for what's in front of me and hopeful of what's to come. I love life, and this is my way to keep that passion.

Every day doesn't have to be grander than the day before it; I just have to be better at appreciating even the smallest of things. This way, every day can be a good day.

Rainy times will come, I know. But what's the point of taking your umbrella out now when the weather's just fine? Matthew 6:34.

Just be present is all I'm saying.
