Lovelike

I love like my life and my lifeline's on the line

like I keep running out of time all the time

like I won't be felt or heard

if I don't repeat my words

and then rhyme

and then give

and then estimate how long everyone else has left to live

to wonder if we'll see each other again after that point

to ponder if my faith can move Everest

to cry over sins

and pay, bargain, pray, and vent

all this just to love again
