Glitch in time

'Twas a yellow afternoon
when a claim was made to go to
never before reached heights.
Breaths were taken on the best moment,
the moment before it all begins.
Inhale, exhale.
Glasses were raised by six hands
and rain tried to water down the blooming ideas
of journeys to midnight.
It didn't; brave and stubborn minds conquer thunder.
There was patience, then hymns,
then jumps and woes
and bells and hints of the open side.
The time of boldness came to pass,
the denouement at last.
Inhale, exhale.
It was just like before but this time,
with misty sights, relieved hearts, and satisfaction.
A moment, like a glitch in time,
was without bounds,
without rhymes.
