Pain and being desperate are temporary. The scars they leave behind, however, are not so easy to erase. They stay there for a long time, having you carry a heavy load of nothing. The unnecessary weight keeps you from taking longer sleep, staying focused, making progress, having fun. Every day you ask for a chance to take it all back, but you can't. Not possible.

So don't look back, keep the past as the past, negative or positive, let it go. Don't develop grudges; anger will burn even the bridges you need, don't let pride take over, nor your conscience. The mistakes you've made shall serve as a lesson, not a daily reminder of self-punishment.

Let go. Strive. Move forward.
