You might've spent a lifetime

with regrets and sorrow;

You might've spent a lifetime before

with unexplained loneliness and recurring nightmares

to seek me

to seek sanctuary

you once foretold to be ours

rightfully ours.

Yet today, you see snaps of blur images

that it alone heightens your eagerness,

it makes you ask more,

gives you a flutter of hope

that when times to rekindle old love sits before you,

waits for your hand's grasp,

willing to embrace even the myriad flaws you have,

those you tell and those you keep in the back of your mind,

those minute details of you and I,

you step further

recognizing we both waited long enough,

you make the call,

take the leap

with closed eyes

and crossed fingers,

ask fate for forgiveness,

Her road doesn't seem right.

Another route has written.

I thank God

we found us once again.
