Is it the nostalgia of what's been

or the foreshadowing of what could be

that leaves me on a mental isolation?

There's vestiges and presages,

and I'm in between.

Absent; in the middle

of sanity and disorientation.

What's my transgression?

Ah yes, love and expression

The Bastille of neighbors has hold of me

and I've been sentenced to life.

Worry not, appraiser,

I will atone.

I will... I am.
