It's 2:22 am

and I'm listening to Eraserheads

because, man! What a day!

I hope my little gimmicks worked

because your cheesy lines,

they got me to the bones.

I'm glad we chose the bus with unseparated seats.

I'm sorry for my crying palm

that just couldn't help but be

in tension and excitement,

having yours skin to skin

for hours and hours.

And I loved it all

every sudden clinging,

smiles, tight grips.

Not even the cringe

that were the old music videos played by the conductor

nor the very welcoming shaking city

could ruin the moment.

I'm happy that we found the book collection,

that I transferred my phone to my left hand,

and that I let you play with my eyelashes.

I loved it all!

Except maybe for the times you asked

if you were dragging or a hassle

because, no,

it was worth every dime and every second.
